We want for the first time to Lungarno 23 for lunch on Sunday, January 15, 2017.

We called a few days before to book and the person who answered the phone there was very nice, satisfying even our request to reserve two high chairs as we were three families with children of various ages.

The restaurant is located in the historical center, a stone's throw from Ponte Vecchio. Despite the centrality of the location we found a place for the car easily near Piazza Poggi, a few minutes walk from the restaurant.

In addition to its beautiful location directly on the river Arno, the restaurant impressed us pleasantly for furniture care, which gives the place a warm and welcoming atmosphere with rustic style.

The menu revolves around the Chianina beef and offers a selection of quality burgers, as well as main courses like roast beef, carpaccio and tartare (always based on Chianina), some vegetarian dishes and a choice of daily specials. At this page you can find a photo that we took to the menu.

The burgers we really liked; We noticed undoubtedly the quality of the meat and the attention to cooking it. We also liked the fact that the sauces and condiments are served separately, so that everyone can dose them as he sees fit.

After the meal we also tasted some desserts, including a good cheesecakes, a tarte tatin and a millefeuille Buontalenti gelato.

The service was prompt and friendly; it made us very pleased that the restaurant also gladly welcome families with children.

We think the value for money is appropriate, with prices commensurate with the quality of raw materials.

Lungarno 23 is open daily for dinner, and on Saturday and Sunday for lunch. Overall we loved it, especially the attention to the quality and the uniqueness of a menu focused on Chianina meat. We definitely feel we can recommend it to those looking for a Tuscan-style bistro where you can enjoy a quality burger (and beyond).
