A welcome return to the Florentine Chamber Orchestra for Giulia Rossini, a young talent of classical pianism, in concert on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October at the Auditorium of Santo Stefano al Ponte (9 pm), in Florence, conductor Andrea Vitello.
Graduated with full marks from the Milan Conservatory, Giulia Rossini has won national and international competitions, including the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition and the Premio Venezia, while in 2020 she was among the finalists of the UNISA International Piano Competition in Pretoria (South Africa).
She studied at the International Academy "Incontri col maestro" in Imola, in the class of Leonid Margarius, followed masterclasses of Badura-Skoda, Fiuzzi, Lang Lang, Jasinski, Thiollier and Bashkirov ...
Born in 1993, she made her debut in 2009 and, among the many concerts that have seen her protagonist in Italy and abroad, it is impossible not to remember the one at Carnegie Hall in New York, in 2012.
To the Florentine public he proposes the “Concerto n. 4 for piano and orchestra op. 58 ”by Ludwig van Beethoven, one of the most innovative and demanding works of the German composer. The program is completed by Nino Rota's “Concerto for strings”.
On the podium of the Florentine Orchestra climbs Andrea Vitello, conductor projected for some time towards international scenarios. Sensitive interpreter of the modern and contemporary repertoire, he conducted the first performance in New York of “The bronze age” by Tristan Murail and first absolute performances of works by Oliver Schneller and Andrea Portera. Her recording debut with Arnold Schoenberg's “Pierrot Lunaire”, at the helm of the BIOS Ensemble and with the voice of Anna Clementi, aroused enthusiastic reactions from international critics.
