Tropical rhythms, South American folk and global bass
BUH opening party! The Rifredi urban cultural circle
On the stage Sinedades, De Matogas, Mondo Cane and Coqò dj
The BUH !, the cultural circle of Rifredi, finally reopens its doors and in doing so drops a poker of absolute respect. Four names will perform on stage on the evening of Friday, October 18
(opening at 9.00 pm). These include the Sinedades, an Italian-Argentine duo founded by the voice of Erika Boschi and the guitar Agustin Cornejo, but accompanied by Gianni Apicella on drums and Matteo Scarpettini on percussion.
Last April they came out on Black Candy Records with their first album titled "Para Mi Potnia". Suspended between world music and Brazilian popular music, Europe and South America, pop and tradition, it contains ten songs in Spanish, essential and profound at the same time.
A very fresh combination of Latin rhythms, Anglo-Saxon folk and a soul jazz that puts technology at the service of the spirit. Texts that invoke nature, the sea, love, fantasy, dreams, taking advantage of time, travel, the discovery of one's inner world.
To enrich the program also the live De Matogas. The intent of its components is to recreate a small orchestra from the Jamaican sound typical of the second half of the sixties. The band's organic, consisting of drums, bass, two guitars, keyboard and horn section, lacks a real frontman. The main voice and the choirs are alternated by all the members of the group, leaving the role of protagonist of the evening to the dancing public.
In console space to Andrea Cota in art Mondo Cane, producer, dj and musician based in Rome. Half of the Jungla EST project and leader of the eclectic Veeblefetzer, for almost twenty years he has been a tireless musical agitator and lover of global sounds. Musical exploration is his lifelong mission. His dj set is a feverish journey to discover afrofuturismi, oriental suggestions, tropical bass amalgamated together with the beats of electronic music.
The program ends with Coqò dj: selecter from southern Italy, which proposes an anarchic and effervescent set of world music, global bass, hip hop, reggae and 50s and 60s vinyl music.
