The 3rd Leonardo da Vinci International Choral Festival, organized by the 'Florence Choral' Association presided and directed by the Florentine bass-baritone Leonardo Sagliocca, will officially start on Tuesday 9 July at 16.00. The Festival will host 16 very interesting and spectacular choirs from China, South Korea, Costa Rica, Denmark, the Philippines, Indonesia, Italy, Serbia, Spain, the United States and Taiwan. During the 4 days of the Festival, the choirs will animate other beautiful Florentine places like the Church of Ognissanti, the Courtyard of the Bargello Museum, the Auditorium of Santo Stefano al Ponte, the Church of the Holy Apostles. The final concert will take place at the Teatro Verdi, with the extraordinary participation of the English tenor Paul Phoenix, a former member of the famous King's Singers and the direction of the American Tim Sharp. Opera choirs and arias will be performed, in addition to the individual performances, from their repertoire, of all the choirs. The Festival is a unique opportunity to admire the magic of heterogeneous and precious musical customs and traditions, combined with the extraordinary beauty of Florentine historical places.
