Studio Mila Pieralli Theater - via G. Donizetti, 58 - Scandicci (Florence)
By and with
ANNA DORA DORNO and NICOLA PIANZOLA
Directed by Anna Dora Dorno
A theater of reality capable of making the new multimedia languages dialogue with those of the scene, a project in which theater, video art and documentary film intertwine through remote collaboration with artists from all over the world.
A few weeks after its debut, “Lockdown Memory”, a show by and with Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola of Instabilivaganti, arrives on Saturday 16 October (9 pm) at the Teatro Studio in Scandicci (Florence).
Experiment of artistic sharing on a global level, the performance stems from the international research project "Beyond Borders", winner of the "Boarding Pass Plus" call, which aims to overcome the limits imposed by isolation to carry out artistic collaboration processes on world scale, through a working method capable of generating a new transmedia language.
Notes and visual notes, physical and musical scores, conversations in videos and artists in their daily lives ... Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola evoke on stage the different moments and situations experienced during the Lockdown through symbolic physical actions, interacting with the videos, artistic and documentaries, with conversations in zoom and daily life scenes of the artists involved in the project: among others, Sun Young Park from South Korea, Juliana Spinola from Brazil, Anurada Venkataram from India, Cecilia Seaward and Jesus Quintero from the USA, Ana Gabriela Pulido from Mexico, Maham Suahil from Pakistan, Jialan Cai and Yuwei Jiang from China, Danial Kheyrikhah from Iran, Fatih Genckal from Turkey.
On stage, moments and movements that have marked the recent history of their respective countries end: from the protests of the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States to the social revolt in Chile, from the mass exodus from Indian megacities to the return to normalcy, after the tragedy, in the Wuhan city.
