Cast: The Pilgrims
A choir is like a flock, made up of different experiences, personalities, ambitions, but which unites its individuality to become one and fly together towards a single goal.
Only the storm can divide it, take different directions. And then? Will the flock come back together or will everyone choose to continue their flight alone?
The Pilgrims , for over 20 years among the most well-known national choirs of African American, gospel and modern music, present a new artistic adventure. The director and author Stefano Silvestri wrote for the Florentine group a comic and exciting musical show, in which the notes and rhythms that distinguish The Pilgrims merge with the acting, the choreography and a plot that strikes and involves.
With the artistic direction of Maestro Gianni Mini, the show " The out of tune ", at the Tuscany Hall on January 15 at 9.15 pm, tells the story of a choir that achieved success and then suddenly found itself without engagements and in front the choice of whether to continue, despite the difficulties, or to end one's group experience. Until the proposal comes from a Russian tycoon who could definitively change the fate of The Pilgrims, but in exchange for a difficult compromise to accept.
Between tears of laughter and tears of emotion, the show that makes use of the choreography of Gianni Mini and Cinzia Cascianini , involves the whole audience in a unique event and its first ever.
The show is a hymn to dignity and beauty. It is a hilarious and poetic song that flies high above this sad sky, which crushes us to our miseries. When the Chorus decides to accept a fabulous but humiliating engagement, it drowns its dignity in that sea without honor which is opportunism. Defeat your soul to survive. The show is the redemption of man on blind and deaf humanity who does not want to see the abyss towards which we are falling. It is an exhilarating, moving and romantic job. White or black, with no middle ground. And that's okay, because the middle ways sooner or later ask for the bill.
