Please find below the reviews of our visits to the restaurant:

Saturday, February 7, 2015, Saturday, November 1, 2014 and Saturday, October 25, 2014

Because often we frequent the restaurant La Maremma below you will find a comprehensive review of our last three visits to this Tuscan traditional cuisine restaurant in downtown Florence

Once again we confirm our very positive impression and confirm Maremma as an excellent choice to taste the typical Tuscan cuisine with excellent value for money in an informal and friendly atmosphere in the center of Florence.

Some dishes that stood out are the following, then quoting from memory considered that the names and descriptions of the dishes may not be exactly the ones you find in the menu:

- Prosciutto goose with green apple and balsamic vinegar

- Pecorino with thyme and honey

- Spaghetti with spicy tomato and bacon

- Pici with sausage and mushrooms

- Peposo Maremma

- Do not miss the desserts, especially the crunchy nuts with hot chocolate cream, flourless chocolate cake, tiramisu, zabaglione mulled ... actually all the desserts are spectacular!

The service is friendly and ready; The wine list offers a good selection, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful in making suggestions for the choice. We report the availability of certain wines in small 375ml bottle, something not very common to find.

The area where the restaurant is located is that of Santa Croce Square, a beautiful and vibrant area of Florence.

On this page you can find the photos we took at the restaurant.

We will definitely be back!

Saturday, March 3, 2012 we stayed for the first time at the restaurant La Maremma in Via Giuseppe Verdi 16r in Florence, tel. 055244615. This restaurant is located near Piazza Santa Croce, in one of the most beautiful and visited the historic center of Florence. The environment is informal and friendly and the menu offers the typical dishes of Florentine cuisine at very reasonable prices. To a careless eye, walking down Via Verdi, the space could look like one of the many restaurants for tourists in central Florence, but really the first taste will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of their proposals ... and in fact we found several local Florentines . Tonight as an appetizer we ordered the cheese with honey, olive oil and thyme (a simple but very tasty) and then a very good wild boar ham. Then we continued directly with the seconds: first of all with a frying chicken, zucchini and onions that amazed us to be both tasty and light, and then with a great wild boar Maremma even this very soft and delicate. Finally the friendly Marco took us by the throat bringing us a taste of some homemade desserts: the nougat parfait, eggnog and mulled the profitterol .. really good! The wine list is very basic, offers some toscane.A labels we Maremma liked and will be back, and would definitely recommend it to those who want to enjoy an informal dinner in Florence at reasonable prices in the center of Florence. In the card Ristorante La Maremma you can see some pictures we took during the evening.
