Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Bottega Di Morello . We had come for lunch Sunday, January 13, 2013 and we were very pleasantly surprised, so we wanted to come back for dinner and the excellent impression was fully confirmed. The restaurant is located in Sesto Fiorentino, on the mountain morello. The atmosphere is informal and friendly and the menu, which you can read directly on their site , is typically Tuscan.
We must say that what struck us in particular was first of all cut, the meat was delicious and soft. We got her both times and each time was excellent. Steak we have tasted in different restaurants Fiorentini and it is not always easy to find the combination of taste and softness that we found here.
Then we loved the bread basket, with a very good schiacciatina, the olive bread and brown bread (which looked like raisins) tempting, and to finish a good Tuscan bread.
Here in detail what we tasted (doing a summary of our two visits):
- Ham Plate of Pratomagno to the knife
- Potato flan on the fresh black truffle
- Lasagnetta crepes with leeks and walnuts
- Risotto pioppini and crispy bacon
- Fried chicken and rabbit
- Pork fillet in puff pastry crust of cream of broccoli
- Cut the sirloin to the rustic
- Mascarpone cream with cat languages
- Chocolate flan with yoghurt cream
The service was very courteous and ready.
On Saturday we spent 40 euros each for 2 starters, 1 first, 2 seconds, 2 desserts, 2 glasses of wine, mineral water and 2 coffees. In our opinion a really good price-quality ratio. At the time this restaurant is at the top of our personal ranking regarding Tuscan restaurants, then definitely we will be back. In the summer, in particular La Bottega Di Morello is very popular given the opportunity to dine al fresco in the garden.
